I have a wiring harness that I bought a few weeks ago to install a head unit in my car. This was before I knew I had a factory amp. So its now useless to me, since I got an amp integration harness instead.

Im offering it free to anyone who wants to come pick it up. Not worth shipping, unless someone really wants to pay the shipping cost, but they could get one locally for under 10 bucks.

Im located in Oakland ca.

you know, the wiring harness will still work. I had the same problem. basically, there's a little silver box under your climate control that is your stock amp, and underneath there is a little hidden wiring thing-a-ma-jig that the wiring harness will plug right into. so you don't need to cut and splice all the wires. check out this how-to:

btw, I don't think you should still use your stock amp. I think I remember reading on here somewhere that somebody did and complained that it was waayy too loud all the time, even with the volume really low.

I got it all set up already... Used an amp integration harness.... I still wanted to take advantage of all 8 speakers, and I cant do that without an amp to properly deliver to signals. It actually sounds really good, with some tweaking... I have a real good head unit with a whole lot of audio fine tuning features.

I am still fine tuning it, usually takes me a couple of weeks to find a good balance since i listen to all kinds of different music.

I'll show it to you saturday.

alright. well, I think most head units already have a built in amp. which is why the other guy's sound was too loud because he was amplifying it twice. lol. but if you've got it set up how you like it then by all means go for it!

Yea.... I can set the output level on this head unit... just like setting the gain on an amp....
Since the factory amp doesnt have an option for adjusting gain... this works well.... Not great or perfect by any means... but good until I upgrade everything.
