Would you be willing to do a bowdown.gif 1gz-fe bowdown.gif swap! If so, how much?

Yeah sure, FWD, right? I'll do it for $2000 for labor. I'll have to price out the engine and whatnot, but just off the top of my head, if we can get a nice engine for $2000 you're looking at around $8000 for everything.

-Doc

8000 for everything for the v12 1gzfe? fwd? maybe you read 1uz

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

The weight of a v12 outweighs the 280 horses you get from it... makes me think ur asking him for the fun of it

i know what you meant. i think tweak read it wrong when he said 8k for everything. would be a hell of a lot more than that.

The weight between the 1uzfe and 1gzfe is not that much different, especially when the v12 motor could have unlimited potential. smile.gif

No, it's a quote from some Bud Lite commercials back in the 90s...

"I LOVE YOU MAN!"

"I love you too bro, but you still can't have my Bud Lite!"

Everyone who wants these swaps done should just pool money together, buy buy a celica, than pay doc to do it.. than just show the car off at shows and stuff and than sell it to the highest bidder.. just an idea.

Since we're quoting beer commercials...BRILLIANT!
Well..My celica is stationary at the moment, so if anyone wants to go all mad scientist on it, be my guest.

Also another recent development..My back-up transportation (90 BMW 3251i) just had the transmission go out tonight, so if anyone wants to donate a car..or a mo-ped..or even a bus pass. HOOK IT UP BITCHES!

Two car's in under a week...What luck.
Just remember kids...If you're having a bad day, you could be a siamese twin stuck to your gay brother who has a date tonight and you only have one a$$hole

I know for certain that while the 6th gen Celica is a first car for many people here, and the only car or second car for a lot of people who don't have a lot of money, or the only car of a college student, there are also some people at least watching who STILL have their Celica from when they were in that situation, but now they've graduated college, they're getting older, getting more money and buying power, have another (new) car or two, and maybe want to do something cool with their Celica.

My celica was my second car and now I am done with school and making decent money. I want a 3sge BEAMS in my car. I have a second car that I just payed off and a third I am paying off, so I don't have a ton of spare cash but I do have time. I don't know if it would be easier to convert to RWD or try to fit the engine in transverse. Hasen't someone done this? The 6 spd. tranny would be very nice though as well. Did you already give an estimate for this converstion in here. I am seriously interested in this but I would have to save for a while I'm sure. Or get my house sold. -sign in yard-

If you want a BEAMS redtop, FWD, that's easy. The engines are like $2500 and the install would be $1500. Plugs a couple odds and ends, but the swap is under $5000 for sure. If you want a blacktop BEAMS and RWD, then you're going to roughly double that.

The stock tranny that comes with it.

Since that's already RWD, I'd be interested in doing that swap for around $7000 including everything.

how could you use the stock tranny? the blacktop 4age in the ae111 is tranverse/fwd. wouldnt you have to mount the engine longitudinally for rwd? as far as i know there is no front engine/tranverse mounted/rwd car in existence. i think you are either confusing transverse and longitudinal or you are thinking of the blacktop beams 3sge.

edit- i need to learn how to type

That is kinda what I was thinking celicaST. I don't know jack about the 4age but I would think an engine with a 4wd transmission that is set in transverse could be used to do rwd. (3sgte??) Not to say that that wouldn't be a waist.

I want to see a prius Hybrib swap into my celica, so if I ever find myself with lots of money I'll look into having it done. I'm sure I could get a prius for what the swap would cost but it wouldn't be as cool as a 6g.

screw hybrid, ill take a full electric swap just like this impreza

awd, 2800lb with driver and 270hp/370ftlb biggrin.gif . keep in mind that horsepower figure is maximum continuous power (not peak power reported for internal combustion engines) and that max torque is at 0 rpms.
