Well, after replacing battery- 1 week later- car is dead. Last 3 years I went thru 3 batteries and 3 alternators.
Now - Im not replacing them anymore. Obviusly, there is something wrong which is killing the battery and alternators. So, I removedfuses for the amps. I disconnected the viper alarm. Volt meter still lights up - meaning there is a significant draw from battery when car is off. Its at mechanic. Only thing left might be the radio (alpine). But, never seen that draw enough power to kill the battery. Any ideas? |

When I had a similar problem in another one of my cars here is what i did.
I got my multimeter and measured the draw on the battery with the car off. Then I started pulling fuses until I found the one that was causing the drain. It happened to be my power door locks. So I traced the wires and found a short in them. Re wired and the problem went away. More often than not, I have found that the multimeter/pull fuse technique finds the problem. Hope this helps. -------------------- -M-
