So the oil ran a bit low in my car and i filled it up, shortly after the water pump failed and i have since then had a new waterpump and cam belt fitted to my 94 celica, i picked it back up from the garage on friday and the oil pressure light is on, its the amber coloured oil can with the line underneath in case im mistake it for the oil light or something. I noticed it only comes on at low revs, im not entirely sure what to do, there is now a little much oil in the engine. i was thinking oil change and filter may fix it but im not a mechanic nor am i the most engineer minded but i can do bits around the car.

I was just wondering if anyone had any input that could make my life easier, or is it another trip to the garage?

First of all, don't drive the car because it might be badly worn bearings or a bad oil pump. It might not be but it's better to be safe than sorry.

1. Is your oil level correct?
2. Did you're mechanic replace any oil seals?
3. Does your car idle at the correct rpm or is it lower than it should be?
4. Have there been any noticable knocking sounds?

How high is the oil? If it's real high that's as bad as being too low.
