Woow, many replies
![]() I will answer to everyone : TomPoz > There are not many sports cars in France, and even less japanese cars, and even less turbo cars... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Valo666 > I am from North East of France, the exact name of the city is "Mulhouse", it is just 15 minutes from Germany and 15 minutes from Switzerland. azian_advanced > Exactly what IGloo answered, it is to control your ass's height ![]() goferris > I think Toyota to did not export those beauties to America for the same reason they did not bring them to France : not enough customers for that kind of "civilized" rally cars. Wolf_tm > I do not know if previous owner was member of any club... Actually I bought the car from a professional seller, who told me the previous older was about 45 years old, but that's all I know. I heard about the meeting in Parma some month ago already, I will check out. If I find some friends to come with me, why not ![]() -------------------- |

Just for referance for people thinking they can bring Euro GT-Four to US.
Yes you can - BUT - be sure you will be spending bout 2500$ for shipping the car, second thing - be sure to look HARD enouth and pay donw atleast 12-14$ for a decent 96 gt-four. And good luck on registering it - exept if you go other way ![]() ![]() -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

I don't know how it works in the US, but in Europe, if you want to register a car that comes from outside Europe (example US or Japan), you must change all the parts that are not on "european standards" to fit those "european standards". That includes :
- seat belts, - all the windows, - all the lights, - some electronics... You have many technical controls to pass, like UTAC and DRIRE. This takes at least one year and many many many Euros... This post has been edited by Panda: Feb 28, 2007 - 11:00 AM -------------------- |

I went to a Toyota parts store this morning to buy some stuff :
- dizzy cap, - rotor arm, - LSD 75W90 oil... I am going to change everything, to be sure I start from a good base. I have a doubt, Toyota told me that the coolant fluid for the intercooler is no more than standard coolant fluid you use for the engine. Can anyone confirm this ? -------------------- |

Everyone I know uses standard Toyota 4Life coolant in theirs. While you have the bonnet up remove the underbonnet lining and the platic tray under the grill (assuming it's still there) as it will let out more heat. If your having the cooler off to flush it then I would lag it while it is off.

Thank Al.
Sorry but what do you mean by "lag it while it is off" ? -------------------- |

QUOTE(Panda @ Mar 1, 2007 - 9:49 AM) Thank Al. Sorry but what do you mean by "lag it while it is off" ? OK, If you are removing the charge cooler to flush it through as I recommended then get hold of some heat resistant wrap (lagging) and wrap the charge cooler in it. This prevents the hear from the engine heating up the cooler but the heat that the cooler is removing can still escape as it gets pumped out with the coolant. Hope that makes sense. Al |

Ok I understand, thanks
![]() I saw this mod on gtfours.co.uk, I will do it. Just have to find some heat resistance wrap. -------------------- |
