does anyone know where i would take my flywheel to get resurfaced? does it need to be sent away or can i take it somewhere to be done? also, if anyone knows how long and how much it cost to have it done?

I've always been able to have it done at my local mechanic's shop, but I don't know if it's that way everywhere. If your mechanic can't do it you could look up local machine shops (as in not specificaly auto places) to see if they'll do it.

open up your local yellow pages, and start calling some machine shops.
most places will do it for ~20-30$ or so.

If your flywheel is not out of round or has any grooves, you could resurface it yourself. Just make sure you inspect it for cracks, heat checking, score marks, or any other damage before you decide what you want to do. smile.gif
