Good intake? Options

That would work. The black piping is kinda cool. The real K&N filter is a plus too. Kinda pricey though.

yeah i noticed that one too, which one do you think i should get.. would the K&N filter make a difference... the trackracing system is 20 dallors more

well i do have a soft spot for k&n filters personally....but went with the other just cuz i liked the way it looks a lil better. plus i have a k&n filter that i bought a while ago and never used so i can swap it out...30bucks it cost if remember right.

I would go with the cheaper of the two. The TB on the ST is only 2.5", so getting a 3" intake is a little overkill. It won't do much of anything, because there is only so much suction from the engine, and all that room in the 3" pipe to fill. If it rains a lot where you live, you should invest in an AEM bypass valve (pic 1) I have the intake in the 2nd link, and this is where mine sits (pic 2). Basically, if your filter is submerged, or sucks in any water, the bypass valve will keep it from being sucked into the engine and hydrolocking.

I came across this one also... it is in my price range and i was just wondering.. it says for GT but knowing as much as i do, i have no idea if this intake would be able to go in my ST

Yes, man it's nice to know others in Washington that understand the rain issue. If rain is an issue, then getting a Short Ram over a CAI is the better way to go and then make your own heat shield. I can't remember how many times I've typed that now...

so y pay more for the same performance? im talking bout name brands. arent most intake pipes in general whether they are cheap or expensive like injen and aem, use the same material as far as piping just the name brand sets them appart right? i know air filters like k&N make a difference but piping i dont think so what do u think?
