I go hit on the rear passenger side by a big van taxi. The idiot ran the red, but the dumd ass cop gave me the ticket, said I ran the red(my lawyer will change all that). He hit me directly in the wheel, which sent me spinning around, causing the other rear tire to hit the curb and bend my support bars and struts. Since there is damage to the rear panel and bumper, I'm going to get the entire car repainted dark shadow grey(that mustang color). It was red, but a red sports car is just asking to get pulled over in New Olreans. A friend of the family says he can fix it all, including the struts, suppurt bars, back panel, new rear bumper, and new paint job for $2000. My insurance could cover it, but I'm not going to claim it since I had a wreck last year this time my old Honda. Don't want the insurance to go up to much. I thought $2000 sounded pretty good for all that work,but...... what do yall think.

Go to court with it. If its the other guy's fault, and you can get the court to say that, it would be way better. Then your insurance will cover it without rising a bit (if you ain't at fault.) That way you can get the nicest repair job not the cheapest. Good luck.

If it's decided that it's not your fault, your insurance wouldn't have to pay for it. The guy who hit you would have to pay for it with his insurance(or the cab company's insurance).

Don't get me wrong. My repair guy has skills, the price is just low because he knows.
