2nd Gen JDM 3sgte

Precision Turbo FMIC
Upgraded CT26
(T04E 46 trim and 10* clip)
2.5" Aluminum Intercooler Piping
full 3" exhaust
3" (reinforced) SS Autocrap Downpipe
3" High-Flow Cat
3" Magnaflow Mufflef
Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley
Centerforce stage 3 dual friction clutch
forge 007 diverter valve
greddy profec b spec II

new plugs/plug wires/cap/rotor/coil

16xk miles on chassis, not sure on motor as i bought from someone on the site who bought from someone else on the site.

rear brake conversion is done new rotors/pads in back

comes with 17" scion Tc wheels with 225/45/17 khumo ecsta asx's on the back less than 1000 miles on them

the bad:
the shell needs a paint job, right now theres a dent in the passenger side behind the door and a dent in the drivers side fender real low, the doors are also touch up painted red so its not as shiny as the rest of the car but it doesnt look bad, theres also clear coat bubling in places.

inside is pretty good, completely stock, there is a vdo boost gauge in the glove box that i use for looking for vac leaks, but for boost i use the greddy profec b spec II.

the car has power steering but no a/c the compressor is hooked up but the lines are not, i have the lines at home the only thing youd have to buy is a condensor.

engine runs strong, the tranny shifts fine but sometimes can be notchy, third gear clunks if you try to shift fast and hard.

i also think that the rear struts may be going bad as the ride is a little stiff, i was waiting to replace them because i was gonna buy some teins.

i have put a lot of time and money into this car but now that i am going to be living at college year round and i have no space to work on a car the car just sits, id like to buy a econobox daily driver and get a job and get my life on track. id say that this car would be perfect for a project car because its ready for your molding, there are no exterior modifications and its got a 3sgte swap, if the car gets a paintjob and the few small repairs are made on the engine the car would be worth way more, but im pricing this thing to sell and im also pricing it to what i think id pay for the car.

im located in towson, md.

price is 4500 as said in title, i feel this is fair considering there are a lot of good aspects of the car and it could be daily driven, it passed maryland state inspection like 3 months ago and i havent really driven it much since then.

some of you may remember my last post, well since then (price stays the same, and many people think it is a fair price) i have done:

helicoil the head, all new exhaust manifold studs, exhaust manifold resurfaced, and new gasket from turbo manifold and manifold to head.

switched to redline gear oil, shifts a lot smoother, also installed a short shifter.
added a recirc valve, and a custom intake made by lagos, and added a brand new black greddy profec b spec II, and i also got a new alternator, new starter, and new battery (optima red top), so pretty much everyone thought the price was fair back the first time, now i added about 1000$ worth of goodies and maintenance on my quest.

i personally feel the car is pretty damn close to being a daily driver, so i guess you could say this time i am selling for a little bit of a different reason, i kind of want to move on, i however am in no hurry to sell this car, so i will wait till i get what im asking for it.

post any questions here, i will check this thread very religiously, and will be perfectly honest about any question you ask.

I'd loveee to have this car! IPB Image Would you do a trade and money. I have a 94 celica ST with 165K on it, new timing belt/tensioner, new alternator, new starter, new battery. 16" motegis, coilovers, apc racing seats. If you wouldnt want my car, i could possibly sell it local and just pay you. Could you post some under the hood pictures...and do you have a rough estimate as to how many miles are on the motor?

sorry, if i were to trade it, itd have to be for a newer gt, and pretty stock/clean looking

i will get an under the hood picture today

i honestly have no clue what mileage the motor has, quarter mile customs replaced the main bearing and a bunch of seals and stuff, im not sure exactly what they did anymore, mark told me it was a full rebuild but they said it wasnt, i know that like 3 months ago it tested perfect for compression, and throughout this project the motor/turbo have been the strong points, i know the turbo has like 1000 miles on it.

Okay thats understadable about the trade situation. Thanks in advance for the under the hood picture. I realize its a turbo car and obviously you dont turbo a car to drive around like a grandma, but how often was the car really driven hard? I need to talk my parents about possibly loaning me some cash, but as of now I am interested in the car.

Also: There isnt any type of leaks, burning oil, or anything of that sort right?

burns a little oil, i used to worry about it untill lagos told me to pretty much STFU cause turbo cars always burn a little oil. ive never seen smoke though.

i just switched to synthetic and a leak popped up but ended up being a worn clamp, so right now its all fixed.

as far as driven hard, i try not to slam it in the gears, but i do some spirited driving on the freeway every once in a while, which usually just means flooring it in fifth because as anyone will tell you theres no need to downshift this car on the freeway.

i'll be honest, i dont know if it would be the smartest decision for you to sell off your reliable daily driver and expect to be getting a similar quality car but with a 3sgte. i jumped into this thinking that it would be easy to get a car like lagos, defgeph, supersprynt, etc, but it turned out to be a lot of work, and will likely continue to be a work in progress, i do not want to sell this car to anyone thinking they are gonna get a turn-key drive off car, as of right now it is in that condition, but i don't want angry calls if something does end up happening, especially if you are gonna borrow money from parents.

edit: but at the same time, that is why this is 4500$, i mean many people spend that much money on their swap, let alone all the goodies (rims, nice tires, 300$ boost controller, a nice IC setup full 3" mandrel exhaust)

also forgot to add that it has a high flow cat, so it should still pass emissions and stuff

Alright, ill take what you said into consideration and talk it over with the rents. If I dont buy it now and for some reason you would still have this car in june, after I graduate...I think I would really consider buying it for sure then because I'll be working full time and would definitly be able to afford it on my own

its possible, ill prolly keep driving it and fixing it up as long as i own it, the only way i wouldnt have it is if somebody else wants it before then for my asking price.

Well, I talked with them tonight and they said it would be smart for me to just keep the celica i have now until i at least graduate because its reliable and nothings wrong with it. So hopefully you still have the car when I graduate and then maybe/hopefully we could work something out.

So I guess for a change, BAD LUCK with this sale lol

sounds good, i agree with your parents, it doesnt really bother me either way whether it sells or not, sometimes i realy want it gone, then others i really love it, yesterday was beautiful weather and i didnt even really boost it but i had a nice city drive and fixed a few nagging issues, ill continue to tinker with it untill hopefully i get what i feel is a fair price for my work, but untill then im fine with keeping it haha.
