IMO, if you're gonna get coilovers, spend the money and get the Ground Control, all of the cheaper coilovers are just that..cheap...if you want the drop, i'd suggest the INTRAX springs. they drop the car about 1.75" and ride like stock (i had them before my ground controls). as for the GC's, they ride very nice IMO, and i'm on stock shocks, i will be upgrading in the first of the year...

TIEN has the best system on the market right now for coil overs... they curenttly have a set for the 5th gen and I believe there is set in the make for the 6th....
newayz... the system is cab controled with 3 preset hights for the front and rear... it;s kinda nice... push a botton and the car rasies and lowers itself for u.. this would be nice if the streets are really crappy where u live.. the only down fall to this system is that it is around 1600.. but its money well spent other wise the ground control setup would be the next best bet -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Also, would this be a good setup, KYB GR-2 Gas Shocks with the ground control coilovers, or the KYB GR-2 Gas Shocks with TRD or those other lowering springs

definitely don't get cheap coil-overs .... you'll be wasting your money ... i did, and now they're sitting in my garage, cause the car was horrible with them on ... if you're gonna spend the money, then make sure you're getting some good ones!

I second that completely. I had the "high low" ones on eBay and they were simply horrible and downright danerous. Never buy those coilovers. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

the ground control coilovers come w/ the Eibach springs. as far as shocks, the best would be KONI adjustables (about 600 dollars) but more affordable would be the KYB GR-2 shocks (about 200 dollars). i'll be getting the KYBs soon, and i have the GC coilvoers, so i'll report back how they ride.

There are quite a few our there.
There are:- 1) Tein HA 2) JIC 3) Ground Control 4) Maybe Cusco (call them) and a few others. It is better to go with Coilovers when you are seroius about your ride and also about ride height. If you just want a low drop that thats it, fo with eibach and some Koni or KYB. -------------------- West_Minist

Correct me if I'm wrong but I plan to get the ground control coilovers but I have heard that it will damage your shocks in the long run. People say that when you get coilovers you must replace your shocks in about 1-2 years? Is this true? Can I just change to coilovers and leave the factory shocks on? Also won't the tires be tilted? I think thats when the camber kit needs to installed correct?
