you can get away with them. The only time you're in trouble is if a cop don't like you, and you tick him off, he might tag the lights onto the ticket. I don't think they'd pull you over just for the lights, but I ain't no lawyer.

Yeah, I agree with Scooby. Plus, the average cop won't know the difference.

Yeah, I agree with Scooby. Plus, the average cop won't know the difference.

exactly. the reason they are not legal, is that they are designed for use on cars that are right hand drive. the cut-off on them cuts out light (if you are inside hte car lookin out) on the right side, and up a little. so, here in the states...this cut off insures that you do not blind any of the folliage on the side of the street, or anything like that. there is no cut off on the left (to keep from blinding people on the CORRECT side of the road), so you may actually get lights flashed at you some (it's happened to me a couple times, but that's when you flash your's right back wink.gif. ). but anyway, i've had them on my car for almost a year now, and never heard the first thing from anyone about them being illegal..i think the only people that know they are illegal is me and a couple of my friends smile.gif.

-John-

besides...who cares if it's illegal when they are as nice as those lights. tongue.gif

Yeah, I mean, only if the cop is an import scene guy. Even still, he'll be like, "Whoa...nice projectors. Where'd you get those from? Sweet deal! Anyways, just wanted to warn you about your speed, might wanna slow down coming around those curves next time."

Blah blah blah. You get the idea.

yea, i believe the reason they are illegal is just that they arent DOT approved, but that is only cuz they were never on a US car. but no cop is going to know that your projectors arent DOT approved, and it isnt like he would be able to write you up for having aftermarket headlights, because they arent aftermarket. and i have never actually heard of anyone getting a ticket or anything because of their headlights. so for all intensive purposes, they are legal, just not on paper. and i actually think one guy on this site got them from his dealer, and they said DOT approved and had some red A stamped on the package. you will be fine if you get them.
