i want an mr2. if i come across a cheap shell with a blown or no motor im buying it. i love the celica but RWD...

Got a nice MKI shell with sunroof for sale super cheap. It could even come with Volk racing rims plus stockies if you're interested.

It has no engine or tranny. Drive axles, motor mounts and all are still there though. Was gonna have a Levin SC engine dropped in but the guy ran out of money after he bought the clip. Retarded to drop the project IMO.

My frineds fuel pump just went out last night on a 93 MR2T with only 80K on the clock. Kept blowing EFI fuses and it took us all night to figure out what it was. No CEL for that one
Bottom line - if reliability is your goal - keep the Celica. If you want a car that's a bit more fun to drive [for some] - get the 2.
Edit - BTW if you want to work out the backs of your legs - work on a 2 for 3 hours straight [if you've ever worked on one you know what I'm talking about]. It takes almost that long to pull the Turbo and intercooler and piping. And don't even get me started on the "hose from hell".

my bros MR2T never had any cooling issues and he has the car for 10yrs. Its his DD and it is a PITA to work on the car though.
