hey all...
the friday just been was the local night speed drags wars in auckland new zealand... anyways I took my car 98 gt-four down the 1/4 mile... launching just below redline everytime, i got a 14.1 sec , not bad considering everytime i launched i could feel the clutch slipping until about 3rd gear when it wasnt slipping nemore... but after the 4 pass's on the track, my times went up to 14.6. my gosh ive never smelt clutch so bad. so yeah clutch is slipping really bad everytime i put load on the engine. Im going to get it replaced this week, but the thing I wanted to ask was: Should I get a 5 puc racing clutch and also a lightened flywheel.. while I'm at this task, what else should I be replacing/upgrading? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks! Scott, New Zealand 1998 Toyota Celica SS3 - Beams VVTI (profile pics) 1998 Toyota Celica GT-Four - New project |
