Trying to find out more info about the key off power windows.
Have been reading th 95 wiring manual, and come across this statment:

FOR ABOUT 60 SECONDS AFTER THE IGNITION SW IS TURNED OFF, IT IS POSSIBLE TO RAISE AND LOWER THE POWER WINDOW BY THE FUNCTIONING OF THIS RELAY.

I want this! any of you guys 6gc do this and if so can we try and find out if it is as simple as swaping relays over.

i will try to get some photos of my relay to compair to somone elses.

Some electrical components will remain operational for a short time as long as a door is not opened. Your windows may already be part of this system. You may want to test these circumstances before you begin ripping things apart looking for that relay.

This is the way mine is wired. Also it seems to last for longer than a min but I have never clocked it or anything. It will stop if you open the door or after some specific period of time. I thought my '95 GT also did this but I could be wrong.

Yeah my Celica does that and my 96 Camry does too, but you can't open any doors. Just turn off the car and then adjust your windows without opening the door.
My girlfriend opens the door on me all the time when I'm closing my window this way. ><

thats why i want it, i am sick of leaving the windows down and turning the car off, than having to turn it back on.

And my celica is 94 and i belive one of the first in Australia. when i turn off the key the power is off, only power is the light around my ignition. open the door and the same.

Is mine the only one not to have this, or you think that my relay is burnt doors still lock and windows still move,

any aussie SX's have this?

jason that sounds so cool what you have done with your remote, do they go down only in that 60sec or any time you push the button.

they go down whenever - from like 3000+ feet away they work supposedly, 200ft away inside an office building i can crack them in 1" increments, or put them all the way down, put them all but 4" down (how i like to drive with em down instead of fully down) or put them up - also if i have them down and arm my alarm it automatically puts the windows up

time wise though - after having the key out for like 8 hours in at work i hit the lil button n they go down

but when in the car before the door is opened they are still on the whatever second timer - just so my battery isint drained that much

need any help i should be able to help you out, i still have pages upon pages of wiring diagrams, copied a dvd from a friends shop of all wiring diagrams/maintenance repair procedures etc for this car, so anything you need hit me up
