Hey

Just wondering what its like to have cold spark plugs in a stock motor?

I am getting my apexi power fc tuned in 8 months and am thinking about putting
the spark plugs in now- as i have to take my intercooler off anyway. An i dont relly want to
take it off twice in one year.

i was thinking about the NGK-7bzk (i think) or greddy no.8 cold sparks

Thanks

You only change your plugs once a year?

on topic, i would think they would hurt your performance because you dont need them yet, might even end up fouling them anyways and need to replace them again later...

correct me if I'm wrong but I dont really think it will make much diff. if it was the other way around, had cold and put in hot then it would matter but because cold spark plugs are just ment to keep the tip at a lower temp (smaller ceramic tip) or something of that nature, it seems as though it would not matter.

Yeah... If that....

Wouldn't having cold spark plugs and not thrashing your car also be bad becasue you don't
get the high temperatures and pressures in the cylinders?

Colder pugs will foul out faster.

How much boost are you running?

And it isn't THAT hard to pull the IC [I know you have a 205].

i run colder plugs and the only difference i notice is every once in a while a few misfires at idle, but thats completely expected with colder plugs.
