how come most if not all big brake kits are only for the front????

if a custom braket is made would it be a good idea to even attempt to modify a big brake kit for the front to fit the rear??????

both ksport and d2 bbk look like they come from the same manufacture/outsource of parts ive been thinking about doing a ksport bbk front and rear set up to get something like this.....

other wise my front disc would have that curve slot in it and my rear would not, which i find kinda crappy.

what do you guys think.

I have hear one reason why. Main braking always handle front, rear is used only when you have handling problem like slipping. And true is when I have changed brake pads, front were almost dead, read not even half detrited. So maybe this is why...

Because if you put huge brakes on the rear you will most likely lock up the rears.

FWD cars have a roughly 80/20 brake bias. You don't want monster stopping power on the rear....

Brakes on the rear are not as heavily used as front.

pretty much the rear brakes dont need to be that heavy duty. Why add extra weight with larger brakes in the rear?

But for some reason bmws and porches have massive rear brakes. I think it has to do with there traction control system. Where they can control each wheels individual wheels stoping power.

When braking, weight of your car shifts to the front. Front wheels get monster grip due to the weight shift, so it's not as easy to lock up as the rear.

Because they are RWD.
And most Porsches have the engine in the rear.
This totally changes required brake bias.......
