is that a typo? did you mean 7 PSI?

anyway. I have a fidanza lightweight flywheel and I love it. it made a big difference! as for clutch, I've got a spec stage 2 and haven't had any problems, but other people on here say they have. ACT makes good clutches.

ACT clutches are faultless. I've had them in all my Celicas and not one problem so far. I've heard mixed results with the other brands. I'd go ACT to be sure about it.
He must mean 7PSI. 17PSI for two years = Destroyed 5S I would think.

have you added anything to the burien set-up. i.e. an intercooler or water/methanol injection? also, do you know what kind of power you are putting down and/or 1/4 mile times?

Nope... I added a front mount intercooler, same 360cc injectors and a 3 inch custom exhaust... Im hoping to get it to the dyno this season but the last time i was at the track i ran a 15 flat at 7 psi cause of a big boost leak... remember Im at very high elevation (New mexico)... probably low 14 at lower elevation... Im goin to take it to the drag once i get my clutch in...

well, that just makes me think that possibly the 5sfe is capable of more than we ever thought... one day I plan on building a super 5sfte with all forged internals, big cams, big turbo, and lots and lots of boost wink.gif right now I'm trying to build a very modest 5sfte set-up using a stock ct-26 from an mr2 turbo.

17 psi on the burien kit seems kinda high. It just seems pretty unlikely that you could run 17psi on a kit designed to run about 7psi...with only a FMIC and exhaust added on...

you didn't meantion a fuel pump or any sort of EMS... ? boost controller...? got a boost gauge ?

pics would be great

wider tires, stickier rubber, limited slip differencial, taller final drive

edit: ...sorry ... wrong answer

i've never put in an aftermarket clutch so i can't give you advice... i'd point you towards centerforce dual friction or star/spec clutches... but that's based on internet hear say rather than first hand experience

hate to tell you this, but you dont have the fuel to run 17 psi. chances are the motor will not last too long at the current boost level

What kind of fuel management do you have to control the injectors? You must have some bad-ass fuel management to run 17 psi.

I got a boost gauge and an air fuel ratio gauge... my air fuel is reading at about .879... my boost is at 12 first gear, 17 second and third never really have a chance to read cuz the clutch is out.... i dont have any type of boost controller... the only thing controlling my boost is the by pass valve... all i did was get the red spring which is rated from 14-20 psi depending how much i turn the bolt down... still on stock fuel pump, 360cc injector.. the only thing ever broke on me was my coil from the distrubutor... i got no traction at all first and second gear.... i beat my friend stage 2 srt 4 and some what hang with another friend mr... loving the 5s.... heheh

yup the picture above is from my recent accident and almost sold it... and yeah this is the 3rd time i bring it back from the junk yard....

i got the hood scoop from a subaru... dont really remember the name of the car... but yup... it's jux a 94 gt

wow, so, 17 PSI on a stock 5s, with no fuel management, stock fuel pump, and 360cc injectors... I'm amazed you haven't blown that motor yet! you'd have to be running extremely lean!

that "air to fuel ratio" gauge you have cant not tell you what your air to fuel ratio is. you realize that, right? in order to monitor your a/f ratio you need a wideband. but somehow i think that this advice will fall on def ears.
