Since i've never driven one of these things, I personally don't know too much about them other than what I have read about them, but I know someone who is looking to get a reliable used luxury style car, and this instantly popped into my head. I already know that the early ones (looking prolly no newer than a 97) are slower and thirsty, but any other pointers / opinions from those who have the knowledge?

I drive a first gen GS300, and I love it. It's a little more sporty-looking than the LS, great on gas and tons of room.

Now I just need to swap a 1JZGTE into it... smile.gif

Other than that, both the LS and GS are among the most reliable cars ever, they are simply great. Mine has around 180k and runs perfectly.

Why not a 2JZ from an Aristo clip and leave the 1JZ to the MK3 Supra, and the Lexus SC (Soarer)?

Well I wouldn't mind a 2JZ, but the 1JZ is a lot cheaper and is still a lot of fun smile.gif
