So the new volvo C30 has just come out recently here in canada and volvo is advertising it alot as a new kinda hip car for the younger market. I think its cool..i wouldnt mind the turbo version. Whats your opinion on it??

I think it looks pretty good. The rear end looks like vomit, but from the front and side it looks good. Is it AWD?

It's not a Volvo, it's Ford now. Based on the rule to avoid 3xF cars (Fiat, Ford and French), I would not recommend.

--------------------
'94 ST202 - tuned, highly apprieciated, but sold.
'99 ST205 - imported, legalized, Stage 1 completed.
For slow driving: Yamaha XVS650 Drag Star.
The most recent addition to the family and for the family: Toyota RAV4 2.0 VVTi

I would buy a Pug or a renualt...older pug or renault no, north american ford..no..lol..and fiat definatly not. But its still a volvo, based off a platform that is only for volvo

And yea its AWD.

eh, looks alright. not a huge fan of most volvos though. i Do like the fact that it's AWD, other than that, don't think i'd buy it if i had the chance.

i think it looks good.. though volvo was never popular towards the younger market which makes me wonder if this will sell.. but the awd turbo would be a big plus! all that matters is the price..

priced out an AWD turbo one, with the sports package, 17" rims, black, black interior *non leather*, sunroof and a rally spoiler *kinda looks like the WRC Pug 206 rally car roof spoiler*..with taxes, delivery, etc..$36K CND. So, not bad, about the same as a fully loaded RSX Type-S. I wonder what my price is though..i get dealer price on any ford, mazda, jag or volvo. biggrin.gif Aka the dealer pays $18K for a car brand new...they re-sell it to John Q Public for $25...i get the same car for $18K. You're sure about PUG / Renault? I had Megane (swapped to Ford Galaxy for my wife rolleyes.gif , the only pro in this car are space and VW diesel engine) and drive 407 daily. Only thing I can say - they're good looking, comfy but crap.

Are you sure that's Volvo-only platform? I would bet that it uses Ford Focus platform.

i was told by a guy at the volvo dealership today its a platform of its own. I took one for a test drive..apparently they only have the FWD turbo in canada for now..and are releasing the AWD in the summer or fall in europe. But yea..i took it for a test drive..drives pretty good..comfortable,slightly quick with the inline 5 turbo. Only downsides to it, absolutely no room for people in the rear *unless you got kids younger than 12*, and barely any trunk room. Right now, since im not married, no kids, no nothing..if i had the $ for one and the AWD version comes out soon, id buy one. also, good part..tons of freaking room behind the engine between firewall for a bigger turbo upgrade. Also..the 6speed...soooooo freaking nice..very smooth shifting and good gear ratios. But once again..unless it comes out in an AWD version..i wouldnt buy it. Mind you if it does, you could make a very WRC inspired rally car styled car that would be pretty quick.

i think it looks really good, and the back looks bad bcuz we r looking from above, the back wont look so pronounced when its at eye level. U guys seen the BMW 1 series? its similar.
