4 cylinders can kick alot of 6 and 8 cylinders asses'. So no dissin on the 4's, get the right engine and it'll produce puh-lenty of power.

And as for dramatic power increases, the only way you can do that is a turbo, and that in itself will cost you over 1,000 plus you gotta basically rebuild the engine so that it can handle a turbo. Your topic says swap or performance but to get the ultimate performance u gotta do a swap.

Swap...and you won't get that for under 2K. If you swap in the ST185 3S-GTE, you'll still probably spend 3-5K. Ask Super about his swap. I don't believe its finished yet, but he could probably give you some quick tips, I guess.

then when u get your new motor get a sticker on your car that says "V8 Killa" and suddenly every camaro/firebird in your town will talk trash, and you'll just have to beat them.

Venus Auto has a 20v silvertop on sale for $600 plus shipping. It'll be faster than (in an ST by the way) any lightly moded GT on this page, and you could probably have it running for well under $2000.

Well...that puts a whole nother perspective on the idea of the swap. If your dad has the tools and is a mechanic, I would go ahead and swap int he ST205 3S-GTE. That's just my opinion. I think the engine will be the expensive part, labor should be nothing because your dad is a mechanic. I say go for it definitely because that is the best engine swap for the 6GC in my opinion.
