QUOTE(Toyoca @ Apr 9, 2007 - 12:57 PM) acer again acer ftw. had mine for almost two years and zero problems, but i would recommend getting a 5000 series as they are more feature packed and the best part about acers is they're very nicely priced. mine was about $700 when all said and done ` |

why not a Mac? i have an ibook g4. i have had it for over a year, not one virus, not one crash not, one pop up add. I mean depeneding on the apps u will use the Mac is the best. mine is over a year old, and it has features most new laptops dont come with. It was $1200 and it has bule tooth and air port extreme built in and 80 mb HD. I mean one u go Mac, u will never go back. So easy 2 use and NO viruses.

QUOTE(Jen @ Apr 9, 2007 - 9:05 PM) Acers are *really* cheap. Are you sure they're good? ive never owned any other computer besides an acer and never will. acer might be really cheap but thats because they make a majority of the components in-house instead of outsourcing. on another related note i treat my acer notebook horrible: drop it, spill stuff on it and it keeps on truckin only downside to acer is their cases, which for most people doesnt matter. i dont like how they mass produce the same case but block off some features for certain models. like take my 3003lci for instance it has a Bluetooth and a WLAN switch on the front of it, but only the WLAN switch actually works. |

Gaming computers are the BEST! If it can handle today's games..... It's worth having. Okay fine, maybe she should go the custom route then. Name brands mean nothing these days. A long time ago it meant something, but now? Pfffttt..... What I can't get is why someone would want to buy something they know nothing about, unless they teach themselves of the things they want. Otherwise they get stuck paying for something with features they won't use. I worked at a store once, and this dude wanted a camera in ABS format. I had no clue what that was and neither did he. Who did he get mad at? Me. Cuz I didn't go to "Camera School", atleast that is what they act like. As if there was a school to teach me all about cameras because I decided to have a career at 19 years old working at Target for the rest of my life. Ppfffttt Okay I am talking too much. Good luck Jen finding a computer that suits your needs. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
