I have 215/40/18 Falken's and they were good tires as far as grip goes but the fronts are almost completely bald and they were rotated. I got them in April of 2002 and they weren't on my car in the winter and they are already done. I don't even care how they grip any more. I just want something that is going to last. If you know of anything let me know.

Mine have been on for about 3 years and they are at 75% worn. And I love them. they are on my stock wheels. They are Toyo Proxes FZ4's. 225's baby, they look great
But they were a lil pricey. 600+ for all four. Good thing the first owner put them on Sorry I cant tell you about anymore, but these have been very good to me. |

Your best bet is to look for them through tirerack.com. They have a rating system that compares tires on a ten point scale in eight different areas. One of them catagories is tire wear, and they have alot of tires to choose from. Build a wish list off them and then just search the web for the best deal.

vierd.... haha. i had yokohamas that wore really really fast on my old 2000+ GTS rims(im sure others can vouch for this as well) I went with scorcher t/a's they are like street slicks, a very unique tire. i had a lot of fun, not fun for winter though, hold very well to the ground. did not wear fast.
I just bought some no namer tires off Wheelmax, so I'm guessing I'll be purchasing a new set of scorcher's soon... lol. -------------------- i am awesome

WHAT?? Are you serious?? I went through a brand new set and half of a new set of FZ4's last summer.. I'll never by em again.. I only spun em twice the whole year,, sure a couple chirps here and there but no big smoke shows.. I do do alot of highway driving though at decent speeds which i would explain why the centers wore completely outa them.. They did ride noce and grip good but wear too fast for me... I'm going with Kumhos next time.. |

Count yourself lucky, I have Pirelli 18's and they only last me 4 months on average, I am seriously considering dropping down to 17's because the cash is starting to run low..
But I do drive the car to it's limit every day.. This post has been edited by khye: Jul 21, 2003 - 3:27 AM |
