Hatchback
- Better acoustics for subwoofers(no rear deck to block bass and rattle)
- More cargo room(and easier access to it)
- More support from body kit manufacturers(rear bumpers on most kits only fit the hatch)

Coupe
- Lighter
- Structurally stiffer(rear deck acts like a rear strut brace would in a hatch)

I won't mention the looks issue, because that's an opinion-based thing, though it seems like the majority of people like the looks of the hatchback a lot more. smile.gif

Neverstop's AWD conversion (if possible) would only be possible on a hatchback (from my understanding, unless there are coupe GT-4s...I may be totally wrong and hatchback/coupe may be irrelevent though).

Actually, I've never spotted the differences between Celica HB and Coupe. confused.gif
Anybody got a picture of both for comparison?

(I look sadder, huh? frown.gif )

coomer, I thought hatches were lighter. Anyway, a con for coupes is that the trunk opener sucks

Edit: Coomer, whos hatch is that? it has the same rims as mine!

Convertables have a whole new set of problems, like the motors for the side/back windows and the pricey motor for the top that wont work for more than a few years. Also in a convertable the trunk is big, but the opening isn't, so its harder to put subs back there. Along the lines of subs, a convertable has so much room between the trunk and actuall seating area that you gotta take out the back seats and put the subs back there. And finally the convertable is a convertable, so the insurance is a bitch.

Being a hatch is one of the main reason why I love my celica: Looks great & lots of cargo space.
