hey, over here it's very very rare that you see one if at all! There is one for sale here
http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?f...FTOKEN=79472721

I'm just wondering what the big fuss is? with curren rear lights and curren front end conversion etc. Is there anything major different to it than the celica? I know it's based on ss2 but what exactly is different??

Its something that us over here don't have. It wasn't ever available in the US. Its kind of like how people do RHD conversions - because it is not what is over here.

Celica Coupes come with 7A and 5S where the Curren comes with a 3rd Gen 3S-GE

Currens are everywhere here. Come with the same 3sfe or 3sge motor. Have not heard anything about all wheel steer.

not too much i don't think. you would need to get first all the parts(fenders, hood, lights, bumper, and other misc stuff) then i think you also have to move the radiator support and other odds and ends.
they had a curren front end on ebay last month that sold for about 800 or so shipped that had everything that you would need. but that was a VERY RARE thing.
i have checked ebay several times (ebay, ebay.uk, and ebay.au) and you can't ever find anything for them. but if you can get the parts i don't think it would be too hard to install. kinda like doing a jdm gt4 conversion and then some would be my best guess.
from my understanding the curren is a tricked out celica coupe and they stopped making them because they stopped making the celica coupe in (what was it) 98 (i think) so 97(once again not quite positive) was the last year they produced them. also they only made them lhd. now for the all wheel steer, i don't think that was standard on all models. but was a very nice option to have.
personally i think they look awesome and am jealous of playr for having his converted and me not!
but i did find a pic of his biggrin.gif

its not like a GT4 conversion

curren = drilling, cutting, alignments, welding, measuring, realigning

i guess it was a harder conversion than i thought.
i reallize that i am not the one to talk about doing this. it would actually be playr because i think he is the only one on the site to have actually done it. like my sig says, maybe someday i will be able to do it (no $$$) but for now (as far as i know) playr is the only one to have it done and i am excited to see the finished projecton the road.
