I'm a Subaru owner but my gf has a 6gc.
I'll be replacing the top mounts in the next month and since were there, were thinking of droping it. I saw you suspension FAQ but not spring rate is stated for any of the springs. So my question is..... what is the best dropping springs that offer a soft ride without bottoming. I have Eibach Proline on my Impreza and she finds them a bit stiff. Would Tein S. work for her? Btw it's a 1994 GT-S |

the s.techs would work well. they are only slightly firmer than the stock springs and the ride is definately pleasant.
i had s.techs for about half a year and switched to ss dampers, and i have to admit i miss the ride quality. -------------------- do you know who i am, mr. worley? |

Cheaper springs = lower spring rate = softer ride. Most of the lowering springs for the 6gc are less than 3kg, which is pretty mild.

Some 500s in front and rear should do just fine. lol. NOT. Everyone seems to like the s-techs. I've got the dropzones and they are kind of stiff. I wish I knew the rate. Anyone know were to pick up a set of 500s for my Celica?

The Tein S-Techs will do the job. I have heard nothing but praise about them. A combination of S-Techs and KYB BR-2 shocks is very common on here.
I know ground control has a set of springs on one of their coilover setups that has a spring rate of 650. One of my 5th Gen friends is trying to find some. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

They just called them different things in Canadia and USA. The GT-S in Canadia is just a GT that has all the fancy bells and wistles. Same thing as a USA GT with Sport Suspension package.
