Wanted to post this as a future reference.

I just recently bought 2 Mr2. I got it shipped from CT. Today I finally had time to play with one of them. The 93 MR2 had a problem getting into gears when the car is running. It'll go into gears when its off. I check my shift cables and it was fine, check slave cylinder and it was fine. So I decided to take down the tranny to check the tranny. I'm already thinking its the pressure plate. So i open it up and found that its cracked.. Here is some pix.

Took down the tranny in 4-5hrs, it was the pressure plate that cracked.

On my way to get a new clutch, thought this was hilarious

I havent install the new clutch yet but damn, it was the pressure plate that cracked. I don't know what the previous owner have done.

Hope this helps anyone.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
