Concert Review, Halifax, Madina Lake, The Higher Options

I went to see Halifax on Friday and was pleasantly suprised to find out that The Higher and Madina Lake were opening up.

Coomer, myself and my ex arrived to see a bunch of 14 - 20 year old emo kids which was kinda funny cuz we were totally the oddballs of the crowd. We were early so we went down to subway and then came back and chilled in the bar since only about 15 people were in there. The show started out with a local band which wasnt that fantastic so we didnt even bother to go out to the stage area. The Higher was next and they were pretty good. THe lead singer was sick but you couldnt really tell. After them Madina Lake was up. They were awesome. Very very good. Im actually more pleased with their perfomance in person than their cd.

We headed in to the bar between Madina Lake and Halifax set. The lead singer of the Higher was at the bar and my ex dared me to go hit on him. I told him id go talk to him but i wasnt goign to hit on him. so i go up to the guy and tell him he put on a good show then he drunkenly goes on about how hes so sick and im like oh god shut up. so then just as I was shaking his hand and we were introducing ourselves a Cougar pounces on him lol. She asks to buy him a drink and i just walked away cuz it made me laugh. 40 something year old lady dressed like a 18 year old wanting to buy this guy a shot. TOO FUNNY!

Anyways so up next was Halifax. They kept talking about weed cuz it was 4/20 and i thought that was pretty lame but they did alright.

Anyways that was it for the show. :-) Just thought id write something cuz im bored on my lunch break

Sounds sweet...xcept for the COUGRRRRRRRRR. i actually live in HALIFAX, and did not know there was a band named after Georg Montagu Dunk, the First Earl of Halifax. hope to hear their music someday, BITTORENTs maybe?!?!

I really enjoyed the concert...like Nat said, Madina Lake was really good...they put on an awesome show. The Higher and Halifax were pretty good live as well.
