I'm curious about this too.. so if the pipe has two breather outlets, do you have to seal one off or can you use one of them for the air flow sensor? Or am I going to have to drill a seperate hole either way?

Seems to be the answer is whatever the pipe comes with. Mine came with a grommetted hole and a place to put a hose. Since I don't have a vacuum hose going into the valve cover like the ones for the GT, I just sealed that hole and used the grommetted one for my maf sensor. If it doesn't have a hole like mine did just run a hose to the maf sensor.

7A-FEs don't have an idle hose, apparently.

For that, you would need to ask somebody that's taken his TB apart like OOBE. kindasad.gif

95st, you say you had to remove the wheel well plastic and you also say you bent it back. Did you just bend it or did you have to actually remove some plastic from the well permanently to get this to fit?

Nice work btw! smile.gif

good to know Redline. I was looking at those ChromeIntakes ones on ebay also. Sorry to hear it didn't work. : \

I've been looking at the SRI from those guys with the K&N filter for like 40 bucks. Is the CAI crap or the SRI too???

go with the CAI it works much better and you will be a lot happier with it...espically if you strap a k&N filter on the end of it....trust me

That hose running from the intake to the valve cover is not really a vacuum hose.
Its actually and inlet for fresh air, that gets circulated around down in the crankcase and then sucked back into the intake manifold by another hose to burn off any blow by gases.

PVC - Positive Crankcase Ventilation

GT guys can actually just ditch the hose altogether an just pop one of those mini filters on the valve cover inlet, you will still pass emissions

You do realize it takes a fair bit of force for an engine to suck up a significant amount of water and to get that much water on your filter, you need to almost dunk it.

You don't NEED a bypass valve, but if you like peace of mind, then go for it.

Well just expect to not go anywhere when it floods.

haha, I'm up in NH, newmarket, we had some flooding, closed the whole town, me and my friend who had a lowered probe, drove through the 1-1.5 foot water, some was close to 2 feet, stayed away from that....

i realize i probably shouldnt have done it.... but i was like what the hell, why not, i took my air box off, and had the intake running through the stock filter that was zip tied on, -think short ram intake, with oem filter, makes one mean sound... till the engine warms up.. as far as going through the flood with a cai, disconnect the second pipe and put a cone on it, if you have a 2 piece tube....

and i feel bad for driving my celi through water, thats why im saving up for a cj,

sorry for the no caps...
