I just got a set of subs and an amp. i was told since i had a premium sound system, i couldnt attach te pre amp to the head unit, rather i would have to install it after the last speakers. i did that and connected everything, but the subs still dont work....can someone tell me what i did wrong, orif there are any other ways of connecting them?? thanks a lot.

Can you explain how you installed everything. Did you run a power cable from the battery to the amp? How about the remote lead that turns on the amp? Probably something simple.
In the long run you will get better results and be much happier if you replace the radio with one that has preamp outputs. A decent aftermarket radio's internal amp will run the stock speakers better and the preamp will make the sub/amp install a breeze. TRDracerGT there are a few amps with high level inputs so he may not need a line level converter. This post has been edited by AudioFreak: Jul 28, 2003 - 8:38 AM |
