I'm really close to ordering some new rims for my car but I wanted to double check that 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 will fit OK on the car with no worries of rubbing. I've seen people using wider rims on the forums, but they all said they were using spacers. Will these be OK? I think they would look awesome on my silver 96.

The rims I'm after are: Helo Tease 18x7.5 5x100 +42

+42 wheel offset will look pretty sucked in...u know that right?

my 8"wide, +32mm offset was flush with my body.

So you think I should aim for something with a smaller offset and maybe 18x8 instead?

Don't they make spacers that I could have installed to take 10mm or so off the offset?

I changed my mind about the size after reading so many peoples posts about rim size, ride comfort, offset, etc.

I decided to go with some Falken Torque 5 Gunmetal 17's +40 offset with 215/45/17 tires. The company I went to (the only company in town that could get these) had to order them out of Cali, so they should be here in about 2 weeks. They were also a fair bit cheaper than the Helo rims.

I've always wondered about 18 inch rims on my car... so it won't be too heavy?
