What about Lexus IS250-350? I would def get that over any of the above. Classy, quick and safe [thinking AWD 250]. Plus you still get Toyota quality.

i agree full heartedly. even the is300 would be great.
and as for the G35, didn't you guys know that it is just a dumbed down skyline? G35, R35, notice any connection here? no it may not be awd but still it has the looks. they still haven't released the r35gtr anyway.
i am also sorry to say, but i just see too many hondas on the road to recomend one, unless it is just going to be a regular daily driver. if you do get a honda, stick with the acura division. much better looking cars imo.

Thanks for the input so far guys! Keep it coming. I only put up the civic because the GF likes the '06-'07 Si styling. I am leaning more towards TSX/TL for the Honda/Acura department.

And with regards to the G35, doesn't the G designate the car class (G, J, R etc) and the number, the engine size? Much like how BMW's are classed...?

Mmhmm, that the part in my theory that didnt make sense, was the way skylines are badged...

I had a look at the price of lexus' and I don't think they will be a reasonable option. For the price range I'm looking for (25-30k CAD) they are fairly old ('02ish) and have high km's (100+) compared with the other contenders. That seemed to be the general price for all models of lexus.

Any other thoughts? At the moment I'm leaning towards either a scoob or TSX/TL.
