Hey everyone,

I'm finally in the market to start modifying my celi. I've been looking all over for a good importer and I found jdmengineworld. Their site looks pretty legit, and the guy I spoke with on the phone seemed like hes a quality businessman. The only problem is that this place has only been open since january and there is very little in the way hearsay on the web. Im kind of nervous about risking a $4000 on a place with basically no reputation. So can anyone chime in?

If you're nervous about it, look for another importer with a longer reputation history.

Truer words have never been spoken. Don't spend your money if you aren't confident that you'll get $4,000 worth of motor.

Hey everyone,

I hate to keep bringing this topic up but I'm really just trying to find an importer I can trust. My first choice would have been jdmenginedepot, but they do not have any front clips in stock, or any on the horizon for that matter. Likewise I've done research on Osakajdm and they have absolutely horrible reviews from all the forums on the planet. Therefore I keep coming back to jdmengineworld.

That said, they seem promising and have a decent video of their shop on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0z2NnNGxH0

This place is located in New York and I know there are a lot of members on the east coast, so if somebody is close by I think it would be awesome if you could swing by the shop and let us know what you think of it. I'm honestly debating on just making the 13 hour drive myself but I figured I'd ask and see if someone lives closer and has some free time to kill.

here's their address and website:

147-01 105TH AVE
JAMAICA, NEW YORK 11435

www.jdmengineworld.com

any help with this would be really really appreciated

Dont know about the site you posted, but i thought all you USA folks went through RPMGARAGE.COM

http://rpmgarage.com/new/detail/?tid=17423 = 2450+1400 for shipping for a st205 front clip.
They are definatly trustworthy and ive ordered from them before and was not disappointed.

See if they will provide a startup video or some sort of proof that the specific clip you're looking at is good. I'm sure that jdmengineworld is a good importer but I'd just make sure I'm getting my money's worth first.

4000 for a complete kit like that seems to be a pretty good deal.

RPMgarage would be nice but the problem is that they are over seas, which means there are customs fees ~$530. Plus their shipping stops at the port, so I would have to pay extra to get the clip to my driveway. On top of all that I would have to wait a few weeks for the clip to arrive.
