at the top of each forum section is where the "stickies" are, they have useful threads that you can learn stuff from. for example the "post a pic of yourself thread" at the top of the "off topic" section is a sticky.

yeah if you could let me know how that goes, that'd help alot. I havn't bought any yet, but there's someone who posted on craigslist that they were parting out thier 5th gen, so that got me thinking about mabey buying his (if he still has them) or going to a junk yard and seeing what they have there.

Yeap, the "stickies" taught me how to install, just bolted right on, simple wiring and it works perfect!!

Just forget about drill another hole, coz 2 holes with 2 bolts are good enough, IMO.

Some Advice for RHD 6th Gen
One teething problem, the 5th Gen bullet mirrors are exclusive for LHD 5th Gen Celica, never seen one in JDM or RHD's 5th Gen Celica.

The spec and the viewing angle is for LHD only.
That's mean, for the passenger side/LHS worked perfect.
And, you can only see the rear fender on the driver side/RHS, its horrible, shoulder check became compulsory.
Later found out, simple tricks to tackle this problem, just remove the mirror and put some double side tape under the mirror to change the angle, and it's work fine now.
I am happy as no more shoulder check and look good now!

I don't think so, I remember I had to go to autozone and get a set of screws and start testing till I found the right size.

Right, I was using the screws that came with the 5th Gen Mirror, but the screws are easy to find in hardware shop or your garage anyway.

PS. The mirrors were found by Culpable04, 1/2 years ago., THX bro biggrin.gif

Yep.. I didn't have to wire them since mine aren't powered... frown.gif but they bolted right on except I had to redrill one hole.. but the metal is thin so it was super easy..

I did have to take off the door panel to unplug the tweeter and power window plug since they are about midway down on the door..

but def a 3 on a 1-10 scale of hardness. smile.gif

oh yeah, forgot about the tweeter..lol..oh well a little extra work never hurts.

just curious though, because either today or tomorrow most likely, i'll be going up to the junk yard to see if if can't find a 5th gen celica. And although thier prices are pretty good at the place i like to go to, it's a "bring your own tools and take off of the car what u need youself"..so what tools do you guys think i'll need to get them off? (if they are still attached to the car, which is most likly going to be the situation)

-thanks everyone for your help!
