today i called a local engine shop and asked how much for an engine the guy told my 1200 bucks for a remanufactured engine and thats with me giving him mine 2. i have a 2.2 5sfe with 155,000 miles on it. so whats the difference with a remanufactured engine and a rebuilt engine i wanna turbo it 2.. isint the same thing?

The exact same thing just different wording. What is wrong with your engine that you need a new one?

your engine has another 75k in it easy. If I were you I would just save and do a 3sgte swap. At least then you have a tried and true upgrade path, not to mention it would be a bit more reliable (unless you are going to pay for a great tune on a 5sfte)

well whats cheaper? ima try to get an engine bout 800 bucks low miles and a good turbo setup like 2 grand
2800-3000 vs how much for the swap? plus i dont even know where i can take my car here in dallas so they can do the swap i got a quote from a local performance shop to install a turbo system and they charge 1200 bucks!!! imagine the whole swap? yikes!!!!

ATS racing in Dallas will do it. Be careful though. They fcuked up one of our club members Manual tranny swaps pretty badly. I here they do really good work other than that one incident tho.
