Looked around a little bit, couldn't find anything. Just a simple question, is it alright if I use 4 gauge terminals with 4 gauge wiring? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but just to be safe should I buy higher gauge terminals to make sure I'm getting full power to my subs?

Thanks in advance!

it all comes down to how much power you are running and what brand of wire you are buying(because of strand count)

so tells us how much power how long of a run of wire, and someone can better tell you what ga wire to use

for anything over 1200 watts or 130 amps i would suggest 1/0ga wire andthing less and i would be fine with 4ga

I'm pretty sure it's less than 1200 watts. Thing is, I already had everything in before. I had to take everything out because I went on vacation and needed trunk space, but when I was pulling the wire through one of the holes it got stuck because of the terminal on the end so I had to cut it off. I need to replace that terminal with a new one but I don't know if the other one that I cut off was 4ga frown.gif. So would a 4ga terminal be good enough to put on the end of the wiring or should I go with something bigger? If that makes any sense..

4ga is just the size of the wire and terminal. Unless your talking about the quality of the gear, there's no such thing as a 4ga terminal being 'good enough' for the wiring, because it's referring to size.

If you have 4ga wire, you put a 4ga (or larger, to a point) terminal on the end of it. Look at the size of the wire, if the 4ga terminal fits, all good!
