Ok, so I've got the Eibach Pro Kits springs and I want to upgrade with some shocks/struts. First question I have is who does everyone have that they really like or haven't had any issues with? I've heard of Tein, KYB, & maybe Tokico having applications for our cars...maybe not Tokico. Also, how do I go about doing this myself? I'll have a shop, a lift, and the necessary tools (as far as I know) but I'd like to know what all it will require, and what tools specifically if anyone can recall I will need!? If not, I guess I will just get some help from a friend and make a write-up then...but I need help in the meantime!
Thanks! Triscuit -------------------- 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1974 Datsun 260Z 1997 Subaru Legacy L Wagon Kind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. I'm always down for a meet. |

Last time I did my Eibach springs, I was working at Honda, my cousin was a tech there. Thanks for the link, I definitely didn't see the link for the installation before! Good lookin' out. -Triscuit -------------------- 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1974 Datsun 260Z 1997 Subaru Legacy L Wagon Kind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. you only need spring compressors if your putting stock springs back on, lowered springs dont need to be compressed to fit.

So like I said, does anyone have any preference on Struts & Shocks? I'm in the market but I have no clue what brand to buy. Cheers.

kyb is cheap and is a stock replacement...bilstein is stiff and for performance, monroe is soft and painful...koni is upgrade, etc etc

I know KYB has different fronts for the sealed or non-sealed version. Do the others have something like that? I know I have the sealed ones and am wondering if I would need to find some servicable front struts if I bought Bilstein or Koni's?
