My clutch is going and i'm planning to get my 5sfte done this summer...
I want to get my new clutch in b4 the turbo install.. i've been lookin @ ACT clutch kits w/ the street discs and i can't decide which to get. Heavy Duty Pressure Plate + Stock Street Disc Heavy Duty Pressure Plate + Performance Street Disc Apparently the Modified Street Disc isn't available for our cars (which is the disc inbetween stock and performance) since nobody ever bought one or something and they stopped making it... and only sold very few performance street discs ACT recommends the performance disc for turbo application, but there's a few ppl running the heavy duty pressure plate + stock disc for a while now. i've never driven a car w/ a performance clutch before so ofc i'd like it to be as smooth as possible. so i'm kinda worried a performance street disc might be too much? but at the same time i want it to last... and i think the performance has more chatter? the difference between the 2 discs should just be engagement smoothness... but i've been told that it would also affect how fast it wears... and then the other difference is the price... performance is like $80USD more than stock or something... waht do u guyz think? it's just the stock disc that comes with the kit. it's the pressure plate that is after market
