I've been thinking about the projector lights for the celica lately.
The high beams for the celica cost 200 dollars. It cost so much for lights you rarely use. So after some thinking, I was consider installing honda clear projector lights as high beam lights for the celica. ebay projectors Ok hear me out before you start throwing rocks and banning me. The celica high beams lens is not round. The front bumper is the part that gives the high beams there shap. So if you install the honda high beams, the bumper will overlap the edge of the lights so the over all look of the celica will stay the same. The only difference is you will have clear lights lenses. From what i can tell is, all you need to do is fabricate some brackets to hold the projectors on the celica head light location. Since we have such huge front bumpers, we can easily mount these lights on the raditor support. with this said: THIS IS NOT A HOW TO ARTICLE. this has not been done before, and there is no garentee it will fit. I'm just throwing the idea out there for you guys to try/play with. |

Id look for some more expensive ones. I don't have any problem with putting cheaper stuff on cause toyota charges through the nose, but if you skimp too much itll look cheap. Just saying this cause my neighbors have crap like that and it shows.

The main problem i have with OEM toyota projectors are 1) there are terrible difficult to get. 2) price.
Its awfully painfull to put such expencive items to the far front of the car. This is part of the car that has the highest chance of getting damage. such as hit in run in parking lots, accident, and rock chips. The reason for such cheap lights, is 1) so it wont be a giant loss if this experiment fails. 2) they are just high beams, therefore the ammount of use will be limited for the average city driver. 3) a good portion of the light will be covered by the bumper, so the entire light will not be seen. So hopefully the cheap-ness will not show through. |

I'd certainly like to see the end result - I think it is hard to judge until it is attempted and a photo of the results are posted. -------------------- Davey
