Hey guys today one of the worst days that my celica has ever seen. I was coming back from getting my check in dallas when i heard a strange rubbing (like the belts were tangled) and then CA-POW!
Not sure how the whole process happened the only think i can think is when the timing and water pump went it caused oil pressure to surge and pop the oil return line off which caused all the oil to drain on the concrete. This is really going to set back my turbo set up. ![]() Anyhow car is getting fixed be ready tomorrow but here are some pics for your viewing. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That same thing happened to me man. It sucks but in the long run it will make your car run a LOT better. But for now it sucks.

when was the last time you change your water pump.
I'm 90% sure your water pump failed causing your timing belt to go with it. |

Once the water pump lets go the timing belt becomes 'comtaminated" and has to be changed. You have to romove the timing belt to change the pump anyway so it all makes sense. -------------------- |

I got it both timing and water pump replaced when i got the new motor back in march of 2006. I do not drive the car hard either. |

That last pictutre is exactly how not to chain a car down on a flatbed, is your front bumper still attached?

Yeah it is still attached. The reason i asked the driver to chain it like that is because the "hooks" are way up and if he would have gone under my front bumper it would have cracked my fibreglass like glass. Trust me, it has happened before. My car is so low that putting the chains under the car would make the chains tense and when going up the ramp would crush my bumper.. |
