... and beat the hell out of it. redface.gif

Go Integra's!

Ok sorry, anyways I was taking my Celica over to a spot amoungst a high-traffic area with a "For Sale" sign on it and had my friend Jared pick me up in his 7th Gen. We eventually headed back to my place so I could pick up my Integra and we were going to go cruise. Jared and I decided to call it a day until later tonight, so I headed for home. Well I pulled up next to a Black Celica (5SPD easily) at the light infront of the Mall which had this dude and another dude sitting there rocking back and forth next to me. The guy had Rims and Exhaust on it, possibly an Intake, and he was revving a little bit, probably to about 3000-3500RPM. I looked over at him and put down my window and said "I have one of those, its that silver one sitting infront of Pearl Vision" and the guy laughs and said "You should keep it", so I had to laugh and rev once to about 6000RPM to allow him to hear something fierce and replied "I should have, but then if I got in a situation like this i'd get it handed to me". So Captain Curageous smiled and said "Its only an Integra, we take them all the time." as soon as the light dropped green, I had the greatest launch with that Clutch i've ever had - not a chirp in the wheels, just straight torque. He stayed with me till about 4000RPM (Spoon Chip gets me to 7500-8000RPM easily) then at the end of 1st Gear I had my whole Integra on him, then as I chirped into 2nd Gear I probably took 2-3 car lengths on him, and then I didn't bother going FT into 3rd - I just headed into a cruise.

I loved my Celica, and I wasn't going to post this, but that guy pissed me off - it made me feel good to finally have power over my Celica, but one thing I won't have again are those looks. frown.gif

Hey, man. I'm happy you have power that you need. I don't mind you racing a Celica at all. He seemed like a jerk. I wish you the best of luck in the future. Good to hear from you again.

the ITR is a force of its own. more HP than a GSR and lighter with a close ratio tranny and lsd.

dont fear it, respect it. i barely respect GSR's but the ITR is different.

oh and all the hondas i have seen get into accidents got really really messed up. one civic i saw got rear ended and the whole part of the car behind the rear wheels got bent up almost 90 degrees.

the tacoma was goin about 30mph

and i hate cocky people. its a good thing that you handed that guys ass to him. btw, do you have that turbo kit installed?

No, the Turbo needs to be rebuilt now. The oil seals are shot and it throws oil like crazy! Boo. But its getting rebuilt and then im going to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors and run about 10PSI for a little while, the car has some body damage I need to deal with. The car itself is white, but i've ordered Black Angel-Eye Altezza Taillights and 1PC Black JDM Projector Headlights, and we are going to primer the car black (then paint it black). Its amazing the amount of aftermarket I have available to me now, its actually pretty sweet. Its actually going to be a real fun project car!!!!

yeah, even the 92 gsr's had a lot more power than a celica GT.

now the turbo kit will really make the car fly

I don't know, it had no badges.

The Integra isn't completely stock, though everything exterior is, inside its got some tweaking. Its got a Short-Ram Intake, Spoon Chip (Redline from 6800RPM to 8000RPM) and a very heavily adjusted Air/Fuel Ratio, to back it all up with an aftermarket exhaust which is almost as quiet as stock. It sounds pretty mean after 4000RPM, its got a nasty roar, i'm trying to get my hands on a new Digital Video Camera.

A few nights ago we were heading home from the Pike and another Integra pulled up and matched my speed at about 75MPH, considering mines just lowered 3-1/2" and everything else is stock, he had a set of rims and taillights (doesn't everyone) and he went FT and then I downshifted into 4th and went FT and gave him some loving, but he gave me thumbs up and I ended up seeing him a few days later and he wanted to know what was done under the hood. In comparison to other teggy's, those few modifications done give this Integra some fight.

sounds like the guy who owned it before you knew what he was doing.

a friend of mine has a stock 94 GSR and it doesnt seem all that fast, sure its faster than my car but for having 65 more HP than my car that is expected, but i guess that chip, short ram, and exhaust help out.

keep the kill stories comming

Respect the ITR? The kid has a GT-4, he most likely doesn't want to waste gas on such a easy kill.

no offense but you are wrong there, from anything but a dead stop start, the ITR is faster.

it is about 400lbs lighter with 200ish HP and the low 120ish tq.

while the GT4 over powers it, it is a lot heaver and has power robbing AWD

of course that is stock for stock, put a fmic and raise the boost on a GT4 and it will be way faster than the ITR can get with all the bolt on mods(nitrous/turbo would make it faster, but that engine isnt good for turboing)

now the group A GT4 is different, it has i think 30 more HP than a regulare GT4 and is about 100lbs lighter. the group A GT4 is capable of mid to high 13's stock while the regular GT4's are about 1 second slower, matching it up right with the ITR, but again, that is from a dead stop.

ummm ok. find me a video where a ITR beats a GT-FOUR stock for stock.

the ITR runs low 15s at best in the quarter mile
the GT-FOUR runs mid 13s in the quarter mile

power robbing what? and weight huh? wink.gif

Gh0st is right on this one. The ITR doesn't have a hell's chance in beating the GT-Four stock. Hell, I'm not even mentioning the fact that you could turn the boost up beyond normal boost levels and the GT-Four would still be stock because the turbo and engine came from the factory able to do so. I'm not saying you'd have to keep it there for long (which is a bad idea without engine reinforcement). But hell, 5 minutes wouldn't hurt it. On the plus side, the GT-Four has WAY more torque than the pansy Integra Type R. The weight issue is not an issue at all, the torque more than makes up for it. On top of that, you're saying that the AWD robs it of power. I suppose the Integra magically became RWD. Not.
