QUOTE(LewFX @ May 12, 2007 - 12:46 AM) whats the clip from? mr2 or celica? Celica. But there is a couple Altezza ones too. To the others: The BEAMS is the 3S-GE engine in the SS-II and SS-III later model 6th Gen Celicas [and MR2's] that got VVT-i and 197HP stock. Look it up on here for better info as I'm just running off the top of my head here and could have the HP slightly wrong. The best part is the engine is rare, the tranny you all crave, drops in a GT like butter and has the most amazingly smooth power curves of any engine I've ever seen. Beautiful N/A power without the Turbo headaches. Downside is - the parts are gonna be a b1tch to get ahold of if anything in the head breaks. -------------------- |

I couldn't find one. Call omar for pics. You did tell them I refered you right? That's all I ask. Plus if anyone actually buys one please let me know. I figure if I bring them enough business they have to hook me up. Omar seems receptive to that idea too.

I'm too broke . Don't really feel like doin it on credit card either. 14% interest....meh. I hate being 19. I'll tell him when I decide to get the clip. Maybe by July or August. Also, do they have any mr2 trannies? |

Yea that was the only thing that made me a little nervous about buying from them. You should go check them out since you're from Huston and let us know how the clips look pretty please haha -------------------- -Brad

Um the owner is Japanese [i think - oriental at least] and I've been there before. They keep the clips indoors in a huge warehouse and not stacked on top of each other which is better than most places I've seen.
Way to get overly picky. Misspellings = nothing -------------------- |

Hmmm.....they could use a little help with the web design......perhaps my IT company I work for......lol
P.S.: They didnt have any RC's, CS's, or group A's in. AND their prices on their site are higher that their verbal quote. Make sure you get a paper quote before making any deals, but overall, the guy sounded cool and very customer services focused. These guys might be the place to go with. IIRC, management's changed hands a few time, but the owner's the same guy. They haven't been able to get around to updating the website with the change of hands, so they recommend that you call in for a price. I think at the moment, they have a new container coming in, so whatever's still there has to go for them to make room for the new stuff.
But yeah, I've been there before, and like Negative said, they don't have their clips sitting on top of one another. They're placed indoors on shelves. I was able to crouch around the BEAMS clip without worrying about the FC3s RX-7 clip above me falling off and landing on my head. If I have time to make it out there, I'll try to take pics and post'em up. Currently on Houston-Imports, they have the 3SGTE (engine, tranny, ECU, and harness) for $900-$1000. http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/show...ad.php?t=375213 http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/show...ad.php?t=381798 Like stated before though, it's best to give them a call. The BEAMS clip? The one I saw was a Black car, RHD, with a manual tranny. I know they'll sell the tranny and engine together, but I don't know about just the motor by itself. -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

You wouldn't have the slightest problem selling it on here tho. I've never heard of anyone who didn't prefer manual in the tuning world outside of high HP drag racers before. -------------------- |

Would there be any downside of getting an mr2 clip? What stuff would have to be relocated? Price difference? I am sure I want the e153 and I'd think it would be easier to just get in all together.

Is that from the beams for 2200 you posted earlier ?? A beams MT for that price is very good and thats for the clip too right ?? I might have to get it...and yes I drive manual.
