Yes, but miatas and mustangs were both originally designed to be commuter cars for Women! Who else knew that? oooo

most low-end sports cars were/are targeted toward women. doesn't mean they aren't any good though.

I've had it called a girl's car.

VWs are girls cars (3 of the top 5!): http://cartalk.cars.com/About/Guy-Chick-Fi...ists/chick.html

I don't get how a celica can be called a girl car tho, but you never hear this about civics... rolleyes.gif

MX-5 is a Miata. Just incase you didn't know. Over in Europe, they call 'em MX-5's.

i really dont care what other people say.

who is in the driver's seat of my car? a man.

what kinda of car is my car? a man's car.

people always look at my car, i have never gotten the "its a girl's car" insult, if you could call it an insult. i see more women driving civics, integras, rsx's and preludes than i see with men driving them.

and i love the handling of my car, it is amazing how smooth and controlable our cars are at 110+mph. you should see the looks i get from people that have been staring me down with i take a 90 degree turn at 60-65 and come out close to 80 while staying in the lane im supposed to.

to many people it may be a girls car, and if it really is, then its the best one i have seen.

Whatever. Here's the CELICA-GIRL car quote of ALL TIME
[B]

So, yeah when I first got my Celica my friend's GF says "WOW.. That's not a car I'd wanna get a ride in. that's a car I'd wanna drive! It's so womanly... It's a girl car! yay!"

At first I was offended... but thinking back. other cars that have similar styling features include the likes of BMW, Porsche and Ferrari. That's all I'm saying.

Also, tons of girls scoped out my car downtown today, and on the highway a bunch of teenages girls kept honking and waving. If this is what I get for driving a girl's car.. all I wanna know is where can I get more of these "girls cars"

This one time after a cop wrote up an accident report after some guy backed into my car, he called my car "cute". I said "cute?, It's bad ass." I could tell he was throwing a compliment towards it, but it wasn't exactly what I really wanted to hear.

Anyway, I'd say that our cars are for both guys and girls. I'd say there's a good 50/50 ratio of guys and girls that drive these around, but I've personally only seen guys driving 6th generations that have mods on them.

im sorry but i have to call bs on that. no way in hell is a celica (thats not modded on a WRC budget) going to take a corner a 90 degree corner at 60mph thats fcuking impossiable end of story!

o and the celica to me is a girly car, but i like it and more people think my cars slow because its so girly, they find out the hard way.

Now see a Pontiac Sunfire is a girls car. This guy at work I know drives one and he thinks his hardcore or something, but he drives a girls car. This is just maily my opinion cause I rarely see a guy driving a Sunfire here in WI. And no, Celicas arent a girls car. I dont care what people say. Hell Ive had guys ask me if my Celica had a turbo kit in it. Never gotten any complaints about my car, ok well expect for the red hatch, but you get the picture.

i can understand how it seems like BS, but if you see the roads out here, you would understand how i do it.

the turns i take that fast, especially one in particular, is a very wide road with two turning lanes, i take the inside lane hugging the curb and come out on the left side of the lane, tires screeching(the lane is wide enough for two hummer H1's to fit side by side). i never said it was a sharp turn, just that is was a 90 degree turn

i said 90 degree turn because it changes my direction by 90 degrees. its not a small turn like in a residential area, and its much sharper than on freeways. sharp turns i can only manage 35mph

Yep, Sunfires are girls cars as well as Neons and Cavaliers. I always see them with their beads on the rearview and animal print seatcovers and plastic silver wheel covers.
