Lately I've been looking into getting one of those new PSP slims. And i heard that with an american PSP you can play imported japanese games. Is this true? There are a couple Japanese games I'm interested in and if this is true I'm definitely going to pick up one of these PSPs. So can someone tell me if this is true or not.

i had no problem playing Initial D (Japanese PSP Game) on my PSP.. i don't think they're locked, so you can play any foreign game.

you can play any region games on them. the umd movies however are region locked. no japanese UMD movies on a US system and vice versa. i'm thinking about getting another one myself. i used to have a psp but sold it. now that the slim is out i'm really considering getting another one. there are some really good looking games coming out.
