Well, it's been 7 months since I bought my car and I finally put a bit of time and money into it. Not having a garage to work in during the winter put everything on hold, but now that it's warm, it's time to have some fun. I haven't decided how far I want to go with my car as of yet, but I wanted to "bond" with it for the time being.

Thursday my new rims came in, and Sunday I got my JDM tails installed. smile.gif It's starting to look a lot nicer.

A few pics:

Future plans:

- Paint those calipers! I have the duplicolor kit (red) already, now I just need the time, and weather.

- TRD splitters for the rear. I think the backside of the stock Celica looks too high. I might start with splitters on the rear first, then maybe the front, but I'm not sure.

car is coming along nicely... always awesome to see a clean silver celica... i agree that the back of the celica looks a little high, but if you get splitters for the back then get them for the front too... a mild drop wont hurt either, and would make it look pretty aggressive with those rims

Wow - it's the silver Celica thread laugh.gif Gotta love the way JDM tails look on a silver Celica. The red caliper are gonna look great against the silver/black also. Now get tint and a drop and she will look perfect. I personally like the way the back looks high on our cars - makes it look faster somehow to me. I'm just gonna get splitters for the front and leave the rear alone. All it needed was the OEM mudfalps to make it look right. Picked those up at a junkyard for $5 - good to go.

Haven't decided if I want to tint it or not. My previous car was blacked out, mostly to hide the stereo, but over the years, the tint went purple and I really hated the look. If I could find tint that UV would never wreck, then I'd consider kindasad.gif.

I was impressed with how easily the JDM tails went in (my old car the tail lights were practically glued to the car and had to be cut out). It takes about 10 minutes to install both. What were people talking about an extra bulb on the harness I had to tie off somewhere? confused.gif. I just plugged in the harness and all worked well.

Still unsure about whether I would lower it or not. I was pricing out the Tein S-Tech springs, but I have a few other commitments for my money ATM.

lol, those JDM tails are shinier than my car! laugh.gif

Oh, i bought these tails off of ebay from tbrd_2005. He advertised them as "Celica ST205 JDM Brand New Taillight ***" $180 brand new, full harness and bulbs and they took 2 days to arrive from Japan.

I'll toss up some interior pics too.

Where I had mine done, they guarantee the film for life (as long as you're owner of the car) against purpling. Try to find a place like that around you... wink.gif

Considering I have a 3-point spoiler, won't I have to do some work on my hatch to hide where the middle post attached if I got a diff spoiler?
