lets stick to the topic just because you don't like the music means you can bash it.
you've probably never even heard some of the orginal emo bands.. like.. dashboard confessional - some of the best songs. -------------------- "Drive Well...

i only live in los angeles home of Hollywood, entertainment capital of the world home of Capitol Records home of American Idol our radio hosts include ryan seacrest (102.7) and tom leykis (99.1) among others you can be pretty sure ive heard of Dashboard Confessional somewhere. they are pretty mainstream here. i just dont get how emo people say they hate people who are conformists, yet they contradict themselves by conforming to the same apparel. thats my only qualm. other than that, im all for music. every kind. cept polka. and mariachi.... -------------------- |

Dashboard is EXTREMELY mainstream. Same with Panic and Fallout Boy now unfortunately. This post has been edited by Sh0gunkid8721: May 15, 2007 - 8:39 PM -------------------- Note to new members. scene bands suck ass, you know what im talking about, tight ass pants, girl haircuts on boys, boy haircuts on girls, studded belts.
id like to think im pretty good at distinguishing between good and bad emo, i know bojangles in real life, we both listen to some bad emo, but we both listen to a lot of other stuff too. i can sympathize with him and the bad emo. id say the most stereotypical bad emo is hawthorne heights, my chemical romance, aiden, etc. emo is such a stupid genre, because theres so many sub genres, i dont even know who on my list id consider emo. some really solid, good pop punk came out this year, all time low, hit the lights, a change of pace, cartel, this providence. if you want some "express my feelings" emo then try the early november if you want something upbeat and happy with some sad songs thrown in check out the rocket summer. i hate name dropping so im gonna stop there, i really dont care who labels me based on my music taste because my collection is probably 10x more diverse than anyones here |
