3sge.....some of the early model produce good/decent power, are usually around 1.2k with shipping, and you can get them with the automatic transmission sometimes..... try jarcoinc.com, they might have one for sale, or maybe even ebay....anywho, good hunting bro ^_^

QUOTE(HypnoToad @ May 20, 2007 - 3:39 PM) alright cool, what happens if u turbo the 3sge later? people look down on it, because it would be easier to swap in a 3sgte rather than swap in a 3sge and turbo it later due to cost.....if your not looking for a turbo, then the 3sge, 4age, or even the 1mzfe , is the better way to go.....but if you want a turbo vehicle of around 2-550$ more than what you would pay for any of the engines mentioned eariler, then the already turbocharged 3sgte is the better way to go...but other than that, the only downside to turboing the 3sge, is that you would spend more to turbo it, than if you wouldve started with a 3sgte earlier..... i want the turbo, but it seems like the only thing to do is take a auto tranny and build it to hold the power

That's "Caldina", and it comes with an AWD 6-speed automatic transmission. Although I've toyed with the idea, I really don't know if the ECU will run another auto, for example, a 4-speed 5SFE tranny, or not.
If you really want to stay auto but you want a turbo car, I would recommend putting your money into building the 5SFE you already have up and having a high-end turbo system designed and installed for it. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

Are you positive this would handle the power of say a 3S-GTE engine , if done on the auto tranny that comes with the 5SFE ? how much would a job like this cost ? |

the caldina idea is good, but is it affordable within hypnotoads cash range.....if it isnt, then he should go with what tweak suggested and just turbo his 7afe.....
