I know the manual has a 70amp and the auto has a 80amp but is that the only difference? Does it mount up different or have different connections or will a 80amp auto alternator work fine on a manual car?

no wiring or mounting differences, only the amps like you said.

yes but the ST is different than the GT, i.e. ST A/T will work in ST M/T, not a GT
