Stock 3sgte manifold should be good enough for most applications.
What is your power goal? What turbo you will be using?

good point gary...i think you have a 3rd gen fran, so if i were you, try looking for a 3rd gen 3sgte, or any 3sgte from a celia within the years of 1995+, and they should mate up fine...if you want to be catious get one from a junkyard or on ebay and try that first...but there are also alot of aftermarket manifolds out there, and just like what gary said, depending on your goals and cash, determines which one would be best for you....but anywho, try the mani from a used 3sgte first if you have the cash...i cant say that i have personally done it before, but many ppl have shown it work...anywho, good luck bro ^_^

I will use t3/t4 obx turbo with the obx turbo manifold but i dont know if the turbo manifold will work in my 3SGE (ST202)... Because the kit its for Mr2 or 3SGTE, i ear that the manifold its the same for the celica, mr2 & celica all-trac... i dont know if that its truth :S, anyone knows? :S... i ear that the internals are the same for the mr2-celica all-trac- and celica (ST202)

My project for the engine will be around of 350-400HP

I need to kwon if the engine internals for the 3SGTE or the MR2 are the same for my engine (3SGE) 6generation celica (ST202) with a 2.0L 16 Valve (3SGE) N/A...

Rods are the same for all 3S motors, and they are extremely strong. Unless you are planning for 500+ HP, or your trying to add power and stay in a particular racing class / division, there's no need to upgrade the rods.

The 3SGTE and 3SGE pistons are interchangeable. I put stock (st185) 3SGTE pistons in my st202 3SGE.

For a 3rd gen 3SGE (st202), you'll need the ST205 manifold. The ST185 and similar MR2 manifolds wont work. If you can find a stock 205 manifold, it will be much stronger then the ebay stainless ones. Check www.mr2oc.org for used 3rd gen manifolds.

soon i must remake my engine.... my car have 230.000 KM... so i can just put new rod and new pistons (forged)... the crankshaft its strong enought? or i must search for another one??? how about the oil pump? good lubrication?

i dont know how its my rods so i think that its better to replace it for new ones... i see eagle rods with JE pistons, pistons give me a 9.0:1 compression rate... so i think that its good for 18 PSI low and 25 high.

im thinking to put 400HP+50HP(nitro)(meibe mooore) on my celica, i want can road it on streets too and can go travel with it without problems.

Anooother problem that i have its the ECU.... i dont know how i can use for fuel manegement, maibe aditionals inyectors with an UNICHIP?...
Or 1000cc inyecors? meybe less? :S

If your having a shop rebuild the engine, have them inspect the rods. If they are in good condition, don't bother to replace them. Seriously, the rods in the 3SGTE is bigger and stronger then one's in a 350 Chevy motor. If you need further info, just talk to the engineers at Carrillo ( http://www.carrilloind.com ), they are the one's who first told me not to bother with upgrading.

The stock crank is strong enough for sure. I only know of a couple of people who've upgraded the oil pumps.

ECU - Check out the apexi power-fc, as they have a 3SGE version available. It may offer a plug and play solution that will handle boost.

Turbo kits - ST205 Celica kits will work best. Some MR2 manifolds work and some dont (hit the alternator). Greddy TD06-L2 would get you close to 400HP.

My engine its 3SGE not 3SGTE... But i was saying on internet pages and its the same, except by the intake manifold & exhaust manifold, but the alternator its in the same place, the direction oil package its in the same place, the adiator package its in the same place... How i could know wath manifold work`s? i saw various manifolds from ebay, OBX, Greddy, and some other that no have specific brand but are stainless steel.

I see turbo kit with turbo manifold, turbo T4 (Garrett), Weastgate 38mm and downpipe... My afraid its buy that stuff and later dont work in my car :S

You would also need a 3S-GTE oil pan since it has a seperate oil feed/drain line.

I wouldn't touch those Ebay stainless steel manifolds.

@Scoth: How can you compare a V8 300-350bhp to a L4 250bhp concerning rods. Per rod the L4 needs stronger rods then the V8 because it needs to hold more power.

Very true. I'm just saying the 3S's rods are very strong. The comparison to the V8 rods is only because they were laying on the table next to me.

but the alternator its in the same place

The alternator on the MR2 is located where the power steering pump is on the Celica or Curren. Therefore, there is more space for the exhaust manifold on the MR2. Some aftermarket manifolds for the MR2 will hit the alternator if installed on the Celica. It's not an issue of 3SGE versus 3SGTE, but rather Celica versus MR2.

Actually, the oil pan's are the same, only the port for the oil return is not drilled out on the 3SGE. He'll just need to drill it out, and buy the oil return hose (part number 15491-88480). Another option would be to drill and tap, then use a AN fitting.

my friend has a chevy truck with a 350 in it and he threw a rod a couple months ago. so I don't think comparing to them is the best comparison. lol

The only reliable one's I know of are C-one and Aussie. Aussie = 900 USD shipped (according to their site) and C-one would be above 1000 USD I'd quess.

I have a 3rd gen 3SGE in my car right now (turbo'd) and another in the garage that I use for modeling parts.

This guy has a stock 3rd gen exhaust manifold for $50 shipped:
http://mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=246898&a...xhaust+manifold
They you could use any of these kits:
http://www.atsracing.net/turbochargers_and_kits.htm
Or any T3 based turbo using an adapter

Here's a greddy 3rd gen manifold:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Trust-TD06-...sspagenameZWDVW
And here's the turbo that would fit it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-T67-25G...sspagenameZWD1V

Lots of options.

Doesn't look like a 3rd gen manifold. Ask if it fits the 90-93 ST185 Celica. If so, then it WILL NOT work with your car
