Hi team,

OK so my CAI is all done and makes quite an impressive difference! Then I was reading that the gains from upgrading the exhaust header (actually known as extractors here) are even greater so that's defeinitely the next plan! I just have a couple of questions though before I go sinking any cash:

1. I've heard mixed reports on ebay headers but certainly the price is right (isn't it?). Will any header labelled for a 5SFE (like this one) do or do they have to be specifically for the celica?

2. Will I have to remove my catalytic converter? What does that mean in the grand scheme of things. I don't know if the authorities are very worried about that here in Oz. That said I'd probably prefer to leave it on if I could. wink.gif

3. Is it hard to put on? I will be doing it myself unless it needs wild stuff like the engine pulled out or something...

Thanks,

Zac

Gday mate! Good to see someone else from qld on here! I'm from just north of brisbane. I've got cai done aswell, does make a nice difference I agree, I dunno much about the extractors off ebay. I've got a cat back exhaust at the moment another nice little difference, its time to finish it so I've booked in to finish the exhaust off, gettin extractors and a high flow cat installed this coming wednesday biggrin.gif I've been quoted $670 installed. Gunna be shweeeet! I'm not keen on doin that kind of stuff myself lol. We need some more qlders so we can have a meet sometime!

Hey mate, likewise! Actually, I just did a search and there looks like about half a dozen 6GCers around SE QLD. A meet would be awesome! I have a mate with a beamer trying to organise a general drive for a bunch of car enthusiasts he knows but he's not the most organised person so who knows when that will happen wink.gif

Hmmm $670 doesn't sound too bad. But I'm a poor strudent atm so it's not really justifiable when I could potentially do it myself - I don't mind getting dirty and doing the work myself either! I wonder if you could ask them how much to just buy the extractors - perhaps it would be easiest for me to buy straight off a muffler bloke rather than take chances with ebay ones.

And let me know how much difference the headers make!

By the way, love your celi! Really clean and shiny wink.gif

Yea that's understandable for sure. Sweet I hadn't searched for people close by. Good to know there's more than just 2 of us. I've seen a few nice 6g's around. But not on here. Yea I'll ask while I'm there gettin it done. The extractors r made by genie. Have a good one.
