Now i have a 4th gen 3sgte(caldina) it makes 245whp and 246 lb/ft of torque(fwd format)
I want to polish the compressor housing of the t 26 and use a a bigger wheel which i think came out of a celica as im told one of the celica wheels is bigger than mine.(I hear my ct 26 is different from the other ct 26's).This wheel should be ok as its not a monster wheel that going break the shaft.

Is this mod feasible as i hear that is the back housing is the prob with the ct 26.I want to know if ill get any power gains from these mods to the turbo heres a link of something i was rewading post any more u know of that i can read

im not totally familiar with the 4th gen but im 90% sure you have the CT20B not the CT26 and it is all 1 piece with the manifold. and the CT20b is the upgrade to the CT26. IF infact you have the ct26 ATS racing makes a modded 26 they call the "CT27" its essentially a ported CT26 with a t04 wheel inside.

SO long story short if you wanna mod your turbo i think your looking at a custom manifold or one from another year possibly and a turbo swap entirely. maybe look into KO Racing for a t3/t4 turbo kit? smile.gif

hope this helps some

thanks ive heard of that upgrade. My turbo is a one piece but the turbo found on the calinas have no name on it besides toyota.I have been told that its their ct 26.
However doing research on it last night i saw this http://www.mrcontrols.com/primers/turbo.htm
in essence they saw the front isnt the problem its the turbine side.I want to know if anyone just polish the front and changed the wheel what if any gains were made.Anyone with first hand experience

^ the ct27 has a larger exhaust side also, thats what makes it a good upgrade.

the ct 27 isnt a one piece thing cah remember the 4th gen exhaust manifold is welded to turbo. So maybe i just need to buy a turbo and a manifold and call it a day
